Dental Implants Illinois

Dental Implants

While high-tech in nature, dental implants are actually more tooth-saving than traditional bridgework since implants do not rely on neighboring teeth for support. Dentures, bridges or individual teeth mounted to the implants won’t slip or shift in your mouth. With dental implants you will chew better, speak better, and perhaps best of all... you’ll gain a gorgeous new smile that will boost your confidence!

I think they were very nice. The kids really like the girl who cleaned there teeth. My only concern is what is on the tv when kids are in there. More child friendly tv. I dont allow my kids to watch the news.

Dr. Reiser is very gentle and very precise. She's done cosmetic work on my front teeth that is nothing less then amazing. I never wanted to show my teeth with an open mouth smile before but since she gave me my new look I can confidently show off my smile. I don't know why I waited so long to have them fixed. I think it was because I saw so many people that had work done that looked so obvious. My teeth look completely natural. I couldn't have hoped for better results. She has also fixed more serious problems and done a wonderful job. She helped me completely reverse periodontal disease. My teeth are very healthy now for the first time in years. I've learned so much from her. My other family members are very happy with her as well. She's mild mannered and very knowledgeable. She's easy to understand when she explains things. It's evident that she is passionate about her work and cares for her patients. The office has a nice family type atmosphere and everyone there are very friendly. This by far is the best dental practice I have experienced. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

Spotlight on Periodontal Disease

Periodontal Disease (also known as Pyorrhea) is an infection of the gums and bone that hold your teeth in place. Left untreated, it causes loss of the bone anchoring your teeth- and subsequent loss of the teeth.

According to the American Dental Association, Periodontal Disease is the #1 cause of tooth loss in the United States.

Periodontal Disease & Heart Disease

Did you know that people with gum disease are FOUR times more likely to be afflicted with Heart Disease than people without gum disease?

That’s right. Recent studies at The University of Minnesota confirm that a chronic infection in your mouth (which is what Periodontal Disease is) allows the bacteria to enter your blood stream. These bacteria may cause blood clots and block your arteries, possibly even triggering a heart attack.

Other studies have shown that plaque bacteria entering the bloodstream through infected gums may also cause a potentially fatal heart disease called infective endocarditis. This is a bacterial infection which causes the sac around the heart to become inflamed.

Reduce Your Health Risks

How can you reduce your risks of serious health ailments that may be due to Periodontal Disease?

  1. Have regular exams at our office.
  2. Have your teeth cleaned AT LEAST twice a year- sometimes more frequently if you build up plaque quickly.
  3. Brush and floss regularly... AND remember to see us often!
